First of all, go
here and read the NYT article. Once you've read it, you can come back and read through the rest of this post (without reading the article, the remainder of the post will make little, to no sense) (I realize that it might be easier on everyone if I simply summarized the article right here in the post, rather than having people go track it down for themselves, but it's worth reading on its own. One suggestion I can offer would be to open the article in a new window, that way you can simply close that window when you're done with it).
If you're reading this sentence, then I assume you've already gone through the hassle of opening up the article, have read it, and have now returned. Welcome back to the CJSW Blog.
Anyway, I can't even imagine how good
Democracy Now would sound at 5000 watts. Here's my favourite part of the article: "People say, 'It is the next best thing to having a system in a car.' But it's better because you don't even have to roll down the windows." Personally, I never liked having to roll down my windows.
If you would like one of these for yourself, Instructables.com has a full step-by-step guide on '
how to build your own'. If anyone does end up making one of these, and would like a CJSW sticker to apply as a 'finishing touch', just let us know. CJSW stickers also work with 'normal' bikes.
Credit needs to be given to
makezine.com for pointing me, and you, in the direction of all this wonderful information.
