Listen On-line Friends of CJSW Podcasts! Oh my god, it's a blog! How to Submit Music to CJSW Pledge!

Submit Music

Submitting your music to CJSW is easy and fun! Just follow these simple directions:

  1. Place CD or CDR in envelope, preferably with some sort of protective padding either around the CD or in a padded envelope itself. Sometimes those mail-sorting machines aren’t as careful as we would like.
  2. Include a bio, or EPK in the envelope.
  3. Address the envelope as follows:
    CJSW Radio
    Rm. 127 MacEwan Hall
    2500 University Dr. N.W.
    Calgary, AB. CANADA
    T2N 1N4
    Attn: Music Director
  4. Drop it in the mail with the appropriate postage!
NOTE FOR FOREIGN SUBMISSIONS: If you are mailing your music from the United States or overseas, make sure you declare a value of 0$ on the customs sticker that goes on your envelope, and say that the envelop contains “PROMO.” We aren’t able to pay duty for any discs held up at the border. In addition to declaring it’s value at 0$ (or as we like to think, “Priceless”), write the following code (if required) on your customs sticker:
    HS 9815.00.00.00
    ETA VII (1)

This should allow your CD to pass right through, without any problems!
  5. If you want to follow up, give us a couple of weeks. That’s usually enough time for us to have received the CD and have had a chance to listen to it. Then, either give us a call during at 403.220.3085. Our tracking hours on Thursdays or Fridays between 10am and 6pm MST; or drop a line to cjswfm@ucalgary.ca . Email responses will take a while.
